| Rates are for 2 guests ($20 each add'l guest; max of 10 guests) Use of downstairs bedrooms is for when the party is more than 6 quests, or if needed for the elderly. Please let us know while booking if downstairs will be needed so that it can be cleaned and unlocked prior to your arrival. The game room is accessible to all guests. | ||||||
| Notice: Guests are allowed no more than 4 additional daytime visitors due to capacity limitations of water and sanitation service restrictions. If guests anticipate more visitors please consider renting more than one rental in the area. Mahalo for your understanding. | ||||||

| Rates plus 11.41% Hawaii tax with a credit card on file or $300 refundable damage deposit required unless paying with credit card. Cleaning charges are $125 for up to 6 guests and $150 for 7 to 8 guests. We accept personal checks, money orders and major credit cards, including American Express, Master & Visa Cards. We require 50% deposit upon booking with balance due 60 days prior to your arrival. | ||||||
| Please note for the safety of our guests and our resident turtle, swimming in her pond is not permitted. (Arthurena is registered and protected by the state of Hawaii). There is great swimming/snorkeling from our property however, with sea turtles and tropical fish in Champagne Pond and the ocean. | ||||||
| Three (3) night minimum stay; 10% discount for stays of 1 month (28+ days). Discounts not applicable during holiday seasons and and until confirmed, rates are subject to change without notice. | ||||||
| Cancellation Policy: In case of cancellation by the renter, he or she shall have right to a full reimbursement (deposit+stay), minus 20% for administrative fees, if the owner is able to rent the property for the same rental period. However, the renter shall have no right to reimbursement if the owner is unable to rent the property for the same rental period. Furthermore, no credit shall be given for late arrivals or early departures. We strongly recommend to purchase a travel insurance, in case your plans change or cannot travel. | ||||||
| Last Minute Specials: Discount of nightly rate by 10% if the rental is still vacant and the booking date is within 15 days of the arrival dates. | ||||||

The World Botanical Gardens and Umauma Falls - The Gardens are located 16 miles north of Hilo, Hawaii, and consist of 300 acres of prime agricultural land abutting the Belt Highway on the east, and extending 1.5 miles up the slope of the extinct Mauna Kea volcano to the west. The northern border is the Umauma River which feeds the triple-tiered Umauma waterfalls with its cascading 300 foot drop.
'click here' Kehena Beach Nude or Clothing Optional Beach Kehena is popular with Puna locals. Here you can enjoy a day at the beach, with the option of hanging out nude with other like-minded folks. Public nudity is illegal in Hawaii, but this beach, located at the far end of Puna, is rarely visited by police.
'click here' Kilauea Lava Flow Photos & Information Lava enters the ocean at the end of Chain of Craters road in Volcano National Park. For the best experience, go pre-dawn. You need a flashlight to walk around once you arrive, but then as the sun rises, you can easily see where you're going. Parking is better and crowds are virtually non-existent! After the sun comes up, all you see is white smoke. The color in the clouds and on the ground is vivid when the sky is dark!
Hawaii: Geology, Plate Tectonics/Hot SpotHawaii is geologically a unique place on Earth because it is caused by a 'hot spot.' Most islands are found at tectonic plate boundaries either from spreading centers (like Iceland) or from subduction zones (like the Aleutian Islands).
