Oahu has an excellent bus system, if you decide not to rent a car, you can visit most part of Oahu through "The Bus". If you are staying for more than one week, you should get a bus pass, which is probably cheaper than paying each time.
If you need a parking space for your rental car, there will be a rental charge of $5 per day or $35 per week, which is payable to RAVC.
