"What a magical and special place. The snorkeling was fantastic and the fish abundant. It was an easy trip to volcanoes and the 6 mile hike out to see the very active lava flows. A stop at the Akatsuka orchid gardens in volcano is a must. We could of stayed much longer and will sometime in the near future."

"We had a wonderful 8 nights here. Very comfortable home enjoyed the pool table. High point of our trip was the Farmers Market in Hilo swimming with the turtles in Champagne Pond early in the morning at low tide.(more than I could even count!)Also snorkeling down the road at Kapoho Tide Pools, and Volcano National Park. Also worth a trip to Akaka falls and the Botanical gardens north of Hilo."

My first time to Hawaii and I don’t think I could have picked a more serene and beautiful setting. It was also my first time snorkeling and you would think I was pro. Your pond, fish and Arthurena were very entertaining as well. The family loved the hot pond down the street. I consider this place my 'Anti aging therapy' as everyday here I find new discoveries, serenity, excitement, peace, beauty, sounds of palm trees clapping on the breeze, waves surging, the purest of air that has traveled many distance, filtered and clean warm waters in the champagne pond often invigorating swim in the open ocean – ahh. In the last several visits, I have watched your home being built as I relaxed in champagne pond- never expecting to enjoy its warm hospitality as my family and I have come to experience this weekend. Oh my daughters, husband and son-in law to specially thank you for letting them play in your natural pool- hope we did not disturb you too much with our laughters and sounds of play & delight! We also enjoyed amongst so many other things, your beautiful lanai, our meals together as a family was much more enjoyed and cherished out on the Lanai where we started and ended each day together. - Swimming in the tide pools – The Hawaii Botanical Hardens on Scenic Rd.
- 4 Hr hike to lava try the first night, then go back a second time to see it. It is not as scary as it looks walking back in the dark. Extra batteries is a must!"

"Well Lynette and Muhammad, what a fantastic spot you have here! Thanks so much for sharing it with us. This our second Christmas in Hawaii and unbelievably this place is even better than our cottage at Punalu’u, Oahu. We love the views, the breeze, the GREAT snorkeling, Arthurena and her entourage, beachcombing, Green sand beaches, and the marvelous food from the local markets. For future guests don’t miss: Verna’s at the New Black Sand beach at the end of Red Road. While there do the walk across the lava to the beach it was a highlight. In Volcano National Park don’t miss Thurston Lava Tube and Volcano House. We had a lovely dinner at Kilauea Lodge (be sure to make reservations); Sara highly recommends Debbie Jones for an hour and half massage on the lanai. Also enjoyed the Hilo Farmers Market."

"Mahalo nui loafor letting us experience a little bit of heaven! This weekend we had such a wonderful time in the ponds. We literally stayed in our swimming attire all days we have out tans and some sunburns to prove it. Autherena was a joy for the kids and what a way to wake up every morning a see this beautiful creature in your back yard. "We had our fingers crossed while traveling here – could it possibly be as good as it looked and sounded on the website? Actually, it’s even better! We absolutely loved this place! It is hard to conceive of a finer getaway home and we can’t decide which view or relaxation spot we like the most! Breakfast and dinner on the deck every day, the gentle breezes and sound of crashing surf to sleep by, the cleansing daily rain showers, the daily snorkeling in Champagne Pond – something new every day! The companionship of the regal resident sea turtle, and the owner’s precious little cat, we loved every minute here on our three generation family vacation in your gorgeous home!
